YVES BEHAR:Creating objects that tell stories

In the video, Behar mentioned that most of his works are basically based or inspired by story, thus the object has meaning and something behind it. He also mentioned that he doesn't like to create something which just following the legacy that only being re-designed. He'd like to create something that change the entire human experience. He and his team create things from all the aspects;including the technology and the aesthetical aspect. An example of his work that combined technology and aesthetical aspect is the leaf lamp. It is an ordinary lamp but it allows the user to change the color of the bulb (yellow or white) just with one touch. His other remarkable work is 'XO' portable computer which affordable ($100) and easy to use by children. By designing and producing this laptop helps many children in the third world country to have new experience in their study.

Many things i've learnt from Behar's video, but the most inspiring is his effort to be a creator, not a follower. He encourage me to do so; try to make a new experience and not always following the legacy.
