To be honest I don't have a clue what this does. I don't understand why we have been given products to review that weren't in our own studio cluster? It really is an injustice considering we haven't had an opportunity to have the product presented to us by the designer. I will say that whatever it is it's very aesthetically pleasing. Nice choice of colour and use of linear properties. :) James Turnbull
Wow, i've never heard of a charclight? is it like some sort of laser or a bit like a mag light? neverless i think the product is definatly aesthetically pleasing. You have captured the design elements, with the use of art deco linear patterns and primary colours to complement and accentuate the design. From this i can only assume the target market is mature aged men and women with a design background. If this is so i think you have captured this well. The thickness of the linear blocks seem to ergonomically fit the hand well. However, the edges of the blocks may not. I think you could of improved this design, assuming its a maglight to be small, allowing the user to attach it as a key ring, or hang it around their wrist.
i like how you've used very solid forms and contrasted them through the use of colour. it also looks as though you can mount it onto a wall? if thats the case then i find that quite interesting as it would make it easy to locate when needed. the design could however be improved by rounding the edges a bit so as to make it look more friendly to hold.
This is extremely Bauhaus! I know its a lighter therefore it is an advantage to understand the function of the model. But the lack of explanation, the lack of presentation give me no option to coment on the succes of the marketing achievement, the pleasure analysis. I will say that looks it makes it for me with beautiful primary colours & extremly inovative shape but the lack of information is a dead end.
